About Japan Local Guides

Japan Local Guides is the front page for a set of local guides run by Treasure Hunting Co., Ltd., a small company based in Nagaizumi, Shizuoka, Japan. We are not a local government office or a tourism board. We write in English for people who do not read Japanese.

How we write

• Each guide answers one question a visitor actually has.
• Facts come from public sources: local government, the prefecture, national agencies and the transport companies themselves. We list them at the end of each guide with the date we read them.
• If we cannot check something, we leave it out and say what we left out. We do not invent opening hours, prices or reviews.
• Rules and timetables change; when we find a guide is out of date, we fix it and show the new date.
